First Swim Meet

Andy was really excited about his first swim meet.  At first, he thought he would just watch, but he woke up that morning ready to participate.  It was a proud mom moment to watch him be so brave and swim the length of the pool (even though he can't quite do it yet).  He looked pretty adorable in his speedo shorts.  I love this little boy!

What I missed while away at Tahoe

Kyle took the kids to Northwest Trek, a birthday party, and played hard with them.  Here are a few pictures from while I was gone.

Abi's and Vik's Wedding Weekend

Carleigh and I had the best weekend away at Tahoe celebrating Abi and Vik.  It was just us mamas without our husbands and kids, so it felt like an extravagant spa weekend away.  It was wonderful to celebrate Abi and Vik - and to get to know Vik.  They are so sweet together and just complete one another.  Carleigh and I took full advantage of time to ourselves - including reading by the pool, a long run for me, and wine and lunch served to us as we soaked up the peaceful and beautiful surroundings.  I was honored to be a part of the ceremony and I danced harder than I've danced in awhile.  It was a great weekend!

Fathers' Day and Katie's Day

When I returned home from Tahoe, the kids wanted to try out their new gift from the Andersons - a sprinkler!  All of the kids in our family enjoyed it (Kyle the most!).

This year, with the addition of Abi, Kyle has stepped up even more in his role as dad.  He is such a wonderful partner in crime and it is so apparent how much he loves our kids.  He plays hard with them and takes time to listen and just be with them together and one on one.  Projects, errands, and play time with daddy are Katie's and Andy's favorite things to do.  They adore him and it doesn't surprise me that Abi's first words have been "dada".

We love you Kyle and appreciate all that you do for our family!

 

 

The birthday celebration continues

During Katie's actual birthday weekend, I was in Tahoe celebrating Abi's and Vik's weddings.  It was a wonderful weekend away, but I missed my family.  Kyle and the kids celebrated Katie's birthday with Gamma and Gumpa and celebrated Collier's birthday with the Andersons.  Katie rode her new bike from the Warmes and played with all of her new gifts.  I returned home on Katie's actual birthday and we celebrated Fathers' Day and Katie's birthday just as a family.  All in all, a great weekend!

Beach Time

To continue the birthday weekend, we spent the next day playing on the beach and hanging out with Ka and Bapa.  Bapa's shoulder replacement surgery went really well and so he is able to resume some activity, which is so great.  We flew our new kite, ran on the beach and enjoyed island time.
