Whidbey - New Years

We rang in the new year at Whidbey.  We spent a few days with the Warmes and then the Lentz family joined us for New Year's Eve.  It was a great way to ring in 2014.  We celebrated around 8pm by banging pots and pans and running around the house.  I think some of the kids stayed up later than the adults : )  We had a good time playing puzzles, going for walks, and cozying up next to the fire.

Andy's latest favorite activity is recording things on his lead pad and watching them.  His monkey and dog are watching with him.   Unfortunately we lost his little monkey up on Whidbey somewhere.

Christmas Day Night

We went to Bruce's and Galen's to celebrate the extended Campbell Clan.  The olfder kids wrote a play for all of the cousins to perform.  There were activities in the basement for the kids, while the adults tried to hold a conversation for more than 5 minutes.  Andy was so excited to blurt out his line in the play, but Katie decided she was a little too scared to say her lambie line.  Abi was out of sorts all evening as she was coming down with a bug.  She melted in Bapa's arms at the end of the night.  The highlight was a visit from Santa.  Andy and Katie both exclaimed THANK YOU and then listed off all of their gifts.  The holidays truly are more magical through the eyes of kids.
