Class Picture

I am in charge of taking class pictures of the Toddlers for the Magnolia Co-op Auction. Today was class A, my class, and it was fun! It's a little crazy coordinating 16 Toddlers - so moms were included in the picture. Here's most of our Co-op class that meets on Thursdays.

Andy - 13 months

Wow how time flies...don't all moms say that? Andy is full of energy these days - climbing, biting, laughing. He has discovered pointing, clapping, giving high-fives, and giving kisses. He loves to mimic Kyle or me in whatever we are doing, which is pretty fun to watch. Andy also has learned to crawl stairs...which is a little scary at our house. Luckily he has figured out how to crawl back down the stairs, but he's not very steady on his feet. I didn't realize we would need gates at the top AND bottom of the stairs! Andy still likes to play with and throw his food rather than eat it, which has been a challenge since he is a little guy. He continues to grow into more of a mini-Kyle as his hair grows in. Andy's 8 teeth make for quite a bite - especially on the arm or shoulder. Of course, after a big "ouch" from Kyle or me, Andy just laughs. Andy laughs at everything...did I mention "mini-Kyle"? We're having fun and enjoying watching Andy's mind at work as he discovers new things. Currently, Andy's favorites are airplanes and birds (he points at each whenever he sees them) and he loves playing with Henry. Henry has been great with Andy and lets Andy pull on his ears, poke at his eyes, and pull on his tongue without much of a reaction. Andy is a busy guy - getting into everything - but that is part of the fun, right? He's a night owl - goes to bed between 9 - 10 PM and gets up between 9 - 10 AM. We're working on shifting those hours a little earlier, especially with his pre-school starting at 8:30 AM on Thursdays. As a family, we are taking things one day at a time and enjoying our little guy for all the joy he brings. Happy 13 months Anderson!

First Day of SCHOOL

Yep, Andy started the Magnolia Co-Op today. We had such a fun time! Andy is the youngest in the Toddler class (cut-off is August 31st), so he is the only one who is crawling around the room. He was a champ today, playing, dancing, chatting in his own language. Andy's favorite activity was the water station - surprise, surprise. I am looking forward to my Thursdays with Andy this year!
At the water table (such a cute Dino name-tag too!)
Yep, a lot of the toys had to go in the "slobber bucket" after Andy got his hands on them

7 grand kids ages 5 and under...

At the birthday party over the weekend, we took the annual "ski chair picture". Now there are 7 grand kids ages 5 and under (Callie turned 5 in August and Miller is just over 5 months old). It was pretty humorous to try and get a picture.

Telling a story...

I am trying to use my lens to capture a story. There are so many times that I walk in on Andy standing at his crib, WAITING for me to grab him and "save" him from being enclosed in the 4 walls of the crib. I wanted to capture this - so here it is (in "vintage" style)!
