8 years!

Kyle and I celebrated our 8th Anniversary on 8/28.  We were able to enjoy a dinner out at Maggie Bluffs, where we went on our first date 12 1/2 years ago.  Cheers to many, many, many more!

 

 

Whidbey...again!

We enjoyed the last official summer weekend (last weekend before Labor Day) on Whidbey (where else?!?).  It was another great weekend.  The Warmes had their friends the Bournes up and played hard.  Maggie swam to the raft by herself for the first time - hooray!

 

Katie was naked most of the weekend (her thing these days).  My favorite "new" thing from the weekend is that she started calling Kyle, Daddy-O.  It's pretty cute as she says it a lot.

This week Andy attended Little Gym camp, which was a much needed activity for him (and me).  We are ready for school to start!

 

 

Baby g #3 - 6 months

I am thrilled to be at 26 weeks - almost into my 3rd trimester.  Hooray!  Fun to compare all 3 pregnancies.  I seem to be carrying higher this pregnancy.

Phone Dump from Vacation - Last Day!

On our last day, we got stuff done around the house during the day, Brendon gave Miller and Andy haircuts, and all of the cousins played well together.  It was a good end to a week away.  The kids were occupied for a couple of hours on the beach - taking turns going down the slide on air mattresses and making creations for their bakery.  It was pretty fun to watch them play so well together and to hear their laughter.  They do enjoy each other, but more often than not, someone ends up in tears.  Although there were some hurt feelings and a few shoves here and there, for some reason, the kids mostly just enjoyed each other.  Another "kairos moment!"

Phone Dump from Vacation - Part III

We spent our last night of our vacation by taking a cruise on the boat.  It was a blast.  The weather was perfect and the kids LOVED it.  The highlights were Andy driving the boat and visiting the Sea Lions out on the buoy.

After our boat adventure, we shared a "kairos moment."  Both kids were sitting in the sand, playing, sharing, laughing with each other.  The sun was setting, it was a beautiful night...it only lasted about 5 minutes until Andy dumped sand on Katie's head, but it was a good 5 minutes.



Phone Dump from Vacation - Part II

The Island County Fair was running while we were up there.  The Warmes joined us for the day and we made the most of it (even though we picked the hottest day of the summer to go).  The kids loved looking at the animals and running around.  Bapa stood in line for ONE HOUR to get tickets for the rides, only to find out each ride cost 3 tickets instead of 1.  So, each person was able to choose one ride to go on.  Happy kids...hot parents : )

I reached for my phone over my camera most of the week.  I guess I needed a vacation from pulling my big camera out.
