Aussies Come to visit : )

Lauren and her boyfriend Paul were in town from Australia for the week. Lindsey also was in town from San Fran. We had a backyard picnic and then played games in the park. It was a lot of fun and a great way to spend a summer night! Fun to see you Haas and Linds (and great to meet you Paul)!

Indigo Girls Concert

We went to the Indigo Girls Concert on one of the hottest days of the summer. I had flashbacks to a year ago, when I was 8 months pregnant with Andy, also attending the Indigo Girls Concert on one of the hottest days of the summer. This time around, I was much appreciative of having Andy outside my body, not 8 months pregnant! We had a great time with friends and even were able to visit with Amy after the concert. Andy's first celebrity experience! We love the Indigo Girls - and it was a such a fun night at the Zoo!

Happy Birthday Masin Jane!

We celebrated MJ's second birthday at the Warme's house. Martha Stewart, I mean Betsy, created adorable ice cream cone cupcakes. Masin was very excited to be celebrating her birthday - and kept saying, "happy birthday to me" : ) It was a fun little celebration on a hot summer night. Happy Birthday May!
Clapping as we sang Happy Birthday
Blowing out the candle
Do you think she likes it?
Yummy!
Nothing like some blue frosting to make an outfit : )
Meanwhile...Andy had discovered the water table
He played for about 30 minutes - just splashing away! Who need birthday cake when you have a water table?!?

Andy - 11 months

It feels like Andy is doing something new every day - such a fun stage. The most recent "milestone" is that Andy can now pull himself up to a standing position and stand on his own for a very short little bit. He is talking in his own language - saying "ga", "ka", "goff", "ugha" (dog), and momma/dadda (not to his mom or dad specifically). It's pretty fun to have conversations with him - even though we're not sure what he is trying to tell us : ) Life is good. Last night, Kyle and I were talking before we went to bed. We always had heard about this "love" that you have for your child - we could think about what that love would be like - but never could have imagined that it would be the kind of love we have for Andy. We feel so lucky.
Top two teeth starting to show!
Look - I can pull myself up!

July Whidbey Weekend

Cheers to another fun Whidbey Weekend! We started off on Friday with some yummy sangria!
We explored the moon snails, gooey ducks, clams, fish, crabs...you name it!

Out came The Bapa!

Crab...Finally!

We have been trying to catch crab up on Whidbey for the past couple of weekends. We have seen the success of others (including our neighbors), but have been unsuccessful. Well, as you can tell from the below pictures - Kyle and Ryan were victorious. They were very proud of their 8 crab : )
