Masin Jane - almost 2 years old

When up on Whidbey - Masin does her best to keep up with the big kids, and does a good job at it. I captured some cute expressions of her.

Toy Discovery

While up on Whidbey over the weekend, we decided to have Andy try the Elmo rocker. I think he likes it. The first photo makes me crack up!

Andy's First Virus

I have to say we are pretty lucky that we just gave Andy his first dosage of Children's Tylenol. He has been a healthy little guy - sleeps well, eats well, and is a mellow dude. Well, as soon as I headed off for my first full weekend away with the girls...Andy got sick. Kyle didn't want to tell me as he thought it would ruin my weekend...so I found out Sunday when I was coming home. Andy was cranky, didn't want to sleep or eat, and the biggest give-away - he wasn't happy! When I got home Sunday night - it was like coming home to a new little guy. He was so tired, was HOT (104 temperature) and just wanted to be held. It was SO hard as I just wanted to wave a magic wand to make him feel better. Luckily his virus was short-lived, but it makes me count my blessings for HEALTH. Thank you Kyle (with the help of my mom and Mol up on Whidbey) for taking care of our guy! You are the best daddy and husband!

Gamma Phi Weekend

Last weekend, we celebrated 10 years since we pledged at Gamma Phi. Wow how time has flown! We went to Courtney Kirk's cabin on Lake Coeur d'Alene and had a blast! There are many things about "sorority life" that are perceived negatively. I have to say that I can't believe I survived living in a house with over 100 girls for 4 years - coming from someone who organizes her closet by color and enjoys her personal space & time : ) That being said, I wouldn't give up my friendships for anything and we have so many fun memories to look back on (rush and all!). All of the memories, the support, seeing each other through good and bad - well, it makes for some solid and special friendships. Thanks to the Kirks for always hosting a great weekend - and thank you to my girls for being such great friends to me (and Kyle) and for being such super aunties to Andy. Love you!

4th of July - Part I

We spent the long weekend up on Whidbey. It has been a long time since we have had such warm weather - so warm that all of us were swimming in the sound! We played hard...both kids and adults. It has become a tradition to celebrate the 3rd with the Ault/Farris crew as this is when the Sandy Hook fireworks take place. We took the Sea Doo out - took the boat out, and enjoyed good food, wine, and sunshine!
