We had a fun dinner with the Leadys.  Since our kids are similar ages - it creates a fun environment.  Never a dull moment!

Palm Desert - Evening Play

One of my favorite times in the Desert is when the sun is low in the sky in the evening.  We had some fun dance parties, happy hours, and play time in the arroyo.

Palm Desert - Pool Time

By the end of the trip, Andy was able to swim across the width of the pool and was starting to understand taking breaths.  When he does take breaths, he ends up being vertical and doing the doggy paddle, but he is able to push off the wall swim around and get back to the wall.  Katie THINKS she also can do all of this, but just is more confident than is good for her.  I love that she is confident, but it's a little scary in the pool sometimes.  She spent a lot of her time on the stairs playing with her "super guy" and "Dora and Diego."  Abi got in the pool with us a couple of times, but mostly spent her time napping by the pool.  

Palm Desert

I am catching up after a month filled with sunshine, doctor's appointments, work, and the normal ups and downs of parenting.  Sitting in front of my computer has not been a priority, but I want to make sure to document this crazy time in our lives.

Our trip to Palm Desert was wonderful.  Ka and Bapa spoiled us with warm weather, lots of time at the pool, yummy meals, and most importantly - quality time.  Thank you for a memorable week.  It has been over two years since we have been able to spend a whole week as a family and Kyle has been able to truly take a week off work - we loved it!

Uncle David spent the first part of the week down with us and it was such a treat to spend that time with him.  I'm not sure he got the "relaxing" vacation he was hoping for, but he got a glimpse of what our crazy daily schedule looks like.  We love you Uncle Dave and are so glad we were able to share that time with you.  We also visited with our dear friends, the Leady's, and spent a day at the water park with our kids, which was a first for us.  Otherwise, we enjoyed busy days and relaxing nights.

Abi's first flight.  We lucked out and got the one empty seat and were able to put her in her car seat.  She slept almost the whole flight.  It was a great way to kick off the vacation!
