Roller Skating

We celebrated Bri's 16th birthday by going roller skating on the base.  It was an 80's themed party, and it was humorous to see all of the outfits that we actually wore in the 80's.  Andy's skates had wheels that didn't move (so he didn't hurt himself), but he enjoyed "walking" around the rink in his skates.  Happy Birthday, Bri!  It was a fun day celebrating with family.

Pee-Boo

This is what Katie says to get your attention.  She plays peek-a-boo all by herself...until you play back.  I love her little "pee-boo" and how she peers through her open fingers.  Katie always has smiled with her eyes.  When she is playing peek-a-boo, I love how you can see the glimmer in her eye while she is waits for you to say... "I see you!"

Kyle and I both want to stop time with Katie.  We feel like she is changing so much every day.  Her little personality is exploding.  She has discovered "no" and uses it only when she really means it (for now, at least).  Mostly when we hand her a sippy or food and she is done.  She jabbers quite a lot, and I can't wait until her baby talk turns into words so I know what's going on in that little head of hers!

Halloween

Halloween this year was so much fun.  Andy got it - and he loved it.  We headed up to Queen Anne Avenue where all of the businesses open their doors to trick-or-treators.  It was CRAZY, but fun to see Andy so excited and to see all of the creative costumes.  Andy ran into a friend, Jack, from preschool and they held hands and teamed up to get candy.  It was pretty cute to see him with a new buddy.  Both kids were pretty tired after an hour and we headed home.  After a pack of mini m&m's Andy was in full force again.  The highlight of Halloween for him was having people knock on OUR door.  He was throwing candy at kids and was chatting up a storm.  At one point, Andy opened the door and yelled at the kids who were passing across the street and said, "hey guys, come to our house!"  He kept at them until a dad responded, "we'll come in a little bit, buddy."  Silly Andy.  All in all, it was a great night.

Halloween Sing-a-long

Andy had a sing-a-long at his preschool on Halloween morning.  I was pretty excited to see him in action - wasn't sure if he was going to participate or not.  I had been asking him to "practice" his songs for me just so I could get an idea of what the morning was all about.  He thought practicing was a horrible idea - so I was in for a surprise.  It was hilarious.  Andy is the youngest in his class, but he held his own.  I was in tears from laughing so hard at the end as he was belting out the words...just 3 words behind everyone else.  Nonetheless - it was entertaining and fun to see him in his first "performance."

Upon entry - I think Andy was a little surprised by how many people were there to watch

Pumpkin Pals

We attended the annual pumpkin carving event at the Johnsons this year.  We carve pumpkins and eat yummy food provided by Carleigh.  We try to let Andy draw his own face and then Kyle carves it.  A pretty good lil pumpkin for a 3-year-old.  We had a fun time with good friends!

Ty's Birthday and Little Gym

Andy goes to class at Little Gym every Thursday.  I laugh almost the whole class as he is very excited and animated in class.  It was fun for us to celebrate Ty's birthday at another Little Gym location - and Andy was in heaven.  Ty's cheeks were so red at the end of the party - he was having a blast - a perfect spot for his 2nd birthday party.  Happy Birthday Ty - we love you!

Andy does not like loud noises...so he covers his ears when they pump the air into the mat.  Silly guy!

Tutu and Track Suit

Before we headed to Little Gym for Ty Rose's birthday party, I had to take some pictures of the kids.  It has been awhile since I did an update on their personalities and milestones (which I will get to one of these days!).  Andy seems to live in his "track suits" as they are comfy and work great for activities outside or indoors.  Katie - well now that I can do something with her hair it seems to be more fun to dress her up too.  I love these fun skirts and the baby legs.  These two didn't exactly want to have their pictures taken, but we it was a great way to capture their silly and stubborn personalities : )
